Infusion Bag Production Line Featured at W&H Expo 2009
November 5, 2009 – 11:43 pm
A blown-film line running a new-generation polypropylene-based film material developed for infusion bag production is one of eight world premiers taking place at next week’s W&H Expo 2009. The event is hosted by flexible packaging systems supplier Windmöller & Hölscher at its facility in Lengerich, Germany, from 10 to 12 November.
Of special interest to device manufacturers, W&H will debut its new Aquarex blown-film line that uses water to cool the film bubble. The line will run the newest generation of Meliflex XF polypropylene-based film developed by Denmark-based Melitek for the manufacture of infusion bags.
The material is characterised by softness, minimal flexibility, excellent optical properties (>99% clarity and <1.5% haze) and high gloss. Heat-sealable, Meliflex XF withstands steam sterilization and has high impact strength at low temperatures.
More information about this and other activities planned during the event are listed on a downloadable flyer. Click here to register to attend.
