Software Tools for Product Integrity
November 16, 2009 – 10:24 amThe TraceIT suite provides an easier view into IBM’s tools for developers and business managers, according to Trosolwg Systems and Software (TSS). The suite enables the creation of documents that a company can use to establish a complete record of what a system does. It helps companies demonstrate that a software system has been designed correctly and meets the specifications.
The suite comprises two main elements. The TraceIT Exporter copies requirements specifications from DOORS to Word documents, which enables managers to read formatted documents. The TraceIT Tracer produces a graphical connection between DOORS and Rhapsody. This output helps establish accurate, robust and meaningful traceability through their development and production cycle.
TSS’s Managing Director, Dr Dave Jennings, said, “As extensive users of DOORS and Rhapsody ourselves, we found IBM did not provide everything we need. We saw an opportunity to offer companies the ability to produce more effective documentation and to enhance software quality at a much lower cost.”
He adds, “Organisations have spent a fortune creating and maintaining applications that meet regulatory requirements. We’re providing low-cost, intelligent output for the leading tools on the market such as DOORS. This suite, when used in collaboration with IBM’s platform, allows customers to establish the integrity of their products.”
