Steripack Introduces Robust, Breathable PE Bags with Tyvek Ports
November 29, 2009 – 11:50 pm
Steripack has introduced the SteriPatch line of polyethylene bags with Tyvek ports. The 350 x 600 mm bags typically have 4 x 60 mm vents, but the dimensions and number can vary depending on the application. The Tyvek ports are oriented to allow gas to vent into the extremities of the bag and to improve aeration and degassing during sterilisation cycles. The front of the bags with the Tyvek ports can be printed in up to four colours with customised artwork.
SteriPatch bags can also be designed to meet specific end-user barrier and performance requirements. They are suited for use in medical and pharmaceutical applications that require EtO and gamma sterilisation.
All production is carried out in Steripack’s Class 100,000 cleanroom. Web cleaners have been added to all processes to minimise the presence of contaminants during manufacturing.
Steripack is a supplier of cleanroom-manufactured flexible medical packaging and contract assembly services located in Clara, Co. Offaly, Ireland. To learn more about the company’s products and services, consult its listing in the suppliers directory at sourcebookonline.co.uk.
