BIOMEDevice Debuts in Paris

January 14, 2010 – 4:56 pm

biomed-200The BIOMEDevice Europe conference and exhibition gets underway next month at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris. Co-located with Pharmapack on 1 and 2 February, BIOMEDevice is described as the first European event dedicated to combination products, a convergence of medical device and pharmaceutical technology and, in some cases, biotechnology.

The combination products field is considered by many industry observers to be a sector waiting to explode, especially in cardiovascular, orthopaedic and wound-care applications. The market for combination products is currently valued at €8 billion, with 40% growth projected over the next three years, according to show organizer Canon Communications LLC (which also publishes this blog).

In addition to providing attendees with an array of sourcing opportunities on the show floor, BIOMEDevice Europe’s two-day conference programme brings together dozens of experts who will offer insights on market trends, regulatory matters, investment strategies, next-generation manufacturing and much more.

In the days leading up to the event, medtechinsider will publish previews of what we think will be among the highlights. Stay tuned.
