The Healthcare Future for Particulate Engineering

February 9, 2010 – 5:38 am

Opportunities for particulate engineering in the health technologies sector have been highlighted in a report just published by the Materials Knowledge Transfer Network through its powder science and engineering theme. This has highlighted areas where the expertise of particulate engineering could prove valuable and create potential for small and medium-sized companies in particulate engineering and businesses in the healthtech space. Application areas are expected to arise in imaging and sensing techniques, miniaturisation, net shape processing, biomaterials and nanotechnology. The report makes recommendations for driving forward development possibilities and identifies opportunities for collaborative research for the particulate and healthtech community.
