Medical Manufacturing Conference Focuses on Regulatory Issues

The first international event for experts in the field of medical manufacturing organised by the Swiss Medical Cluster took place 14 to 15 September in Solothurn, Switzerland. “The canton of Solothurn with its long tradition of industry is the right location when precision and material know-how are in demand,” said Cantonal Councillor Esther Gassler in her welcoming speech. Attracting some 200 participants, the two-day conference served as a platform for exchange of information for experts and other interested parties from the field of medical technology devices and instruments manufacturing. In their presentations, producers and distributors addressed the framework conditions of the new regulatory requirements and the resulting consequences for the collaboration with external suppliers.
