Snitem Launches Revamped Website
January 4, 2011 – 1:14 pmFrench medical technology association Snitem (Syndicat National de l’Industrie des Technologies Médicales) has introduced its brand new website. Among the novelties of the substantially redesigned site are a photothèque, which displays images of sundry medical devices, and a film titled, Le DM, Qu’est-ce Que C’est. (Sadly, the soundtrack does not include an adaptation of Psycho Killer by the Talking Heads, which I, for one, immediately started humming upon reading the press release.) For the non Francophiles reading this, DM stands for dispositifs médicaux (medical devices).
In addition to a section compiling facts and figures about the industry, which includes downloadable data sheets that are updated on a daily basis, and a recruitment page, users can now subscribe to several RSS feeds on the site. My only complaint: the site is not bilingual. I suppose that is to be expected, but it would have been a welcome oecumenical touch.
A bon entendeur, salut.
