PI Releases New Nanopositioning Systems Catalogue

June 8, 2011 – 2:18 am

PI (Physik Instrumente) L.P., manufacturer of nanopositioning stages and precision motion-control equipment for biomedical, semiconductor, imaging and nanotechnology applications, has released a new catalogue on nanopositioning systems. The 160-page catalogue focuses on piezo flexure based nanopositioning systems capable of repeatedly moving distances as small as the diameter of an atom.

The catalogue covers single-axis stages, x-y and x-y-z stages as well as tip/tilt platforms for active optics, imaging and laser-beam steering. Parallel kinematic positioners (2-axis to complex 6-axis hexapods) and novel hybrid systems as well as ceramic precision linear motors are also shown. A nanopositioning controller section discusses software, explains interfacing options and different digital servo control models and algorithms that increase linearity in static and dynamic applications.

The nanopositioning systems catalogue can be downloaded free of charge.
