Webinar to Focus on How to Protect Devices and Increase their Reliability with Parylene Coatings

November 23, 2011 – 1:13 pm

As medical devices and components become smaller and more complex, they present unique challenges for many conformal coatings. Poly(para-xylylene), better known as Parylene, is an ultrathin, inert, transparent coating that meets these challenges by providing dielectric and barrier properties, extreme chemical inertness and freedom from pinholes.

An upcoming webinar, Advances in Conformal Coatings: Enhancing the Reliability of Innovative Technologies, will focus on Parylene’s unique properties and advantages in adhesion technologies.

The coatings webinar will take place at 9 am GMT on 1 December 2011. It is sponsored by Specialty Coatings Systems and organised by EMDT, EDN and EE Times.

Presenters include Lonny Wolgemuth, Senior Medical Market Specialist at Specialty Coating Systems, and Rakesh Kumar, PhD, Vice President of Technology at Specialty Coating Systems. The 1-hour webcast will be moderated by EMDT Associate Editor Yvonne Klöpping.
