Sanner GmbH, a manufacturer of packaging for healthcare products, has invested more than one million euros to upgrade its facilities and IT infrastructure at its plant in Budapest. The company notably has integrated a GUARDUS manufacturing execution system and SAP business management resource. The upgrade will ensure smoother production operations in Hungary and improve networking with company headquarters in Bensheim, Germany, the company announced in a press release.
As a contract manufacturing plant, Sanner Hungary caters to customers who have projects with medium-size lots and products that require manual assembly steps, says the company. The plant in Budapest currently employs 100 people who primarily produce desiccant closures and tubes for tablets and capsules.
