NanotechItaly to Highlight Applications in Healthcare, Materials and Electronics

July 31, 2012 – 4:28 am

NanotechItaly, an international conference to promote nanotechnology, will take place 21 to 23 November 2012 in Venice. The event will present the latest developments and trends in R&D, applications and worldwide governance, and will provide the opportunity for discussion among representatives of industry, public research and governmental bodies. During the convention, Italian and international researchers are going to present their research to network and increase their visibility. Among the main conference topics is healthcare and the improvement of lifelong health with a focus on in vitro and in vivo diagnostics, therapeutics and theranostic, personalised medicine, biostructures, regenerative medicine and biosensors.

Other conference topics include:

Advanced materials for improved use of resources: industrial manufacturing, processes and production; multifunctional, lightweight materials; multisector sustainable solutions (surface technologies, CNT, grafene, nanodiamonds and other carbon-based nanomaterials; nanocomposites; nanoporous materials and aereogels; nano-cyristalline metals, metal oxides; nanofibers; nanometrology, etc.)

Intelligent and connected world: developing next generation nanodevices and nanosystems (nanoelectronics, organic electronics; magneto-electronics; storage and memory devices, MEMS/NEMS, nanophotonics, nano-robotics, etc.)

Taking place for the first time in 2008, the conference is jointly organised by the Italian National Research Council, the Italian Association of Industrial Research, the Italian Institute of Technology and Veneto Nanotech.
