Innovative Polymers Compounds Obtains ISO 13485 Accreditation

Innovative Polymers Compounds (IPC; Kilbeggan, Ireland) recently announced it has received ISO 13485 accreditation, making it the only accredited independent compounding company in Europe dedicated to providing polymer compounds for use in medical device applications, according to a press release published on the Irish Medical Devices Association’s website.

IPC supplies polymer compounds to OEMs across Europe from its Class 100K facility. The company uses compounding technology coupled with drying and postcompounding equipment. It offers inhouse capability for colour matching and material testing and can process a wide range of polymers to customer requirements. It procecesses polymers from Arkema, Lubrizol, BASF, EMS, DuPont, Evonik and Solvay and compounds these with other materials.

IPC is a joint venture company between Associated Plastics of Ireland Ltd, a polymer compounding company, and National Chemical Co. Ltd, a polymer and chemicals distribution company. The company also holds ISO 9001 accreditation.
