Baden-Württemberg Biotechnology Forum to Focus on Medical Technology

On 19 September 2012, Biotechnology and Life Sciences platform BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH and BioRegio Freiburg are organising the networking event “Baden-Württemberg Biotechnology Forum” at the Freiburg Concert House in Freiburg, Germany. A series of eight workshops focusing on innovations for human health and sustainability, will cover such topics as antibiotics/antimicrobial substances, lab-on-a-chip/point of care, personalised medicine and plastics in the medical technology sector. The forum is aimed at biotech companies, research institutions, clusters and associations, pharmaceutical, medical technology, energy and environmental technology companies.

The welcome speech will be given by Dr. Nils Schmid, MdL, Deputy Minister President and Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg. Key speakers are Prof. Dr. Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker and Prof. Dr. Michael Heller, San Diego, CA.

Participation is free of charge. The forum will be held in German and the programme is available in German language only.
