Colder Products Company, provider of quick disconnect couplings and fittings for plastic tubing, announces the addition of PVDF to the available medical material options throughout its FitQuik Connectors product line. This material addition creates more than 100 new FitQuik Connectors alongside the existing nylon, polypropylene and polycarbonate materials and configurations available. PVDF fittings are suitable for applications within medical diagnostics and analytical lab instrumentation, chemical dispensing and ink handling industries or any market requiring a more robust and compatible fitting for aggressive medias and environments.
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) material delivers high purity, excellent chemical compatibility and superior ultra-violet (UV) resistance compared to other plastics. Molded from Kynar 720, FitQuik PVDF fittings are FDA 21 CFR 177.2510 compliant, certified animal-free and meet USP Class VI requirements. Designed for tubing sizes from 1/16” to 3/8”, along with a variety of threaded configurations, these precision moulded and parting line-free FitQuik fittings ensure a secure, leak-free and reliable fit for the most demanding fluid handling applications.
“We are excited to add PVDF material to our FitQuik Connectors product line,” says Jim Brown, Business Unit Manager, Medical Markets. “This is another example of Colder’s commitment and responsiveness to our customers and their needs, as the first choice in precision moulded fittings. Customers choose us for peace of mind when designing and manufacturing their products, and that’s exactly what we’re going to keep on delivering.”
