CERAM to Host Free Seminar on Materials Analysis for Healthcare Sector
August 4, 2009 – 3:12 pmA one-day seminar will explore the critical role that materials analysis plays in the development of medical and pharmaceutical products. “Materials Analysis & Consultancy in the Healthcare Sector” will be hosted by CERAM at its facility in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, on 15 October. A range of issues relevant to med-tech manufacturing, from surface analysis and characterisation to cleanliness and validation approaches, will be discussed. Registration is free.
An expert from a leading consumer healthcare company will talk about the different types of surface analysis that CERAM has undertaken for its products, including the use of DSIMS and white light interferometry. The representative will explain how this work has supported the science underpinning the company’s products in the market with consumers and professionals. Materials analysis experts from CERAM also will make presentations, and an afternoon of networking will end with a series of one-on-one consultancy sessions, where delegates and experts can share information in a confidential setting.
“By bringing together healthcare industry leaders and materials expertise in one forum, we hope to open up this area of science to the wider healthcare community in an accessible and informative way,” says Ravi Rathod, Medical Devices Market Development Director at CERAM.
CERAM is a global expert in materials testing, analysis and consultancy.
