ALLTEC GmbH’s acquisition of FOBA Technology + Services GmbH brings together more than 65 years of combined experience in laser marking and engraving.

For 25 years, ALLTEC has been developing and manufacturing laser marking solutions for the world market. Since 2004, its Laser Business Unit has been the technology centre for laser marking within the publicly traded Danaher Corporation’s Product Identification Platform (PID) (Washington DC, USA). FOBA, a laser marking and engraving specialist was founded 40 years ago. The merger offers obvious major synergies.

Adding FOBA products to the existing portfolio means that one of the widest product lines for the identification with lasers is available in the market. Systems include those ready to integrate into production lines as well as work stations for stand-alone operation and en¬graving machines such as for the tool and mould making and medical technology industries.

In the future, sales and service will be pooled and broadened within the global sales and service network of Danaher PID to result in improved closeness to customers.
