The Baymedix family of biomaterials is growing. Bayer MaterialScience introduced Baymedix FR for functional medical wound dressings at this year’s Compamed. Based on polyurethane foams with a specific combination of properties, the materials can be combined with a thermoplastic polyurethane film, which Bayer markets under the Platilon name, for breathability.
