Norbert Sparrow

Executive Editor responsible for Canon Communications’ international medical manufacturing publications, Norbert Sparrow feels equally at home in Europe and the United States. Born in Germany and raised in Toronto and Los Angeles, he earned his master’s degree in journalism in Strasbourg, France. He wrote for a variety of newspapers and magazines during the 12 years that he lived in Paris and Strasbourg. Norbert returned to Los Angeles in 1986, and joined Canon Communications in 1995 as editor of European Medical Device Manufacturer.

Brian Buntz

Brian Buntz

Brian Buntz works as a Managing Editor for  European Medical Device Technology (EMDT) at Canon Communications, where he has been employed since 2005. With a strong interest in science, Brian frequently writes about recent research and technological developments in the medical field. He holds a master’s degree in German, a bachelor’s degree in physics, and is a member of the Delta Phi Alpha honour society. Brian is happily married and has a nine-year old son.

Yvonne Klo¨pping

Yvonne Klöpping

Yvonne Klöpping joined Canon Communications in 2008, coming from another B2B publisher. Fluent in English and German, she started her journalism career as a reporter and news editor at her university daily, the award-winning Daily Titan. After graduating with honours from California State University, Fullerton in 2003, Yvonne went to work for a trade publisher in Torrance, CA, USA, before moving back to her native Germany. Yvonne works as Associate Editor for European Medical Device Technology (EMDT) and contributes to other Canon publications.

Miki Anzai

Miki Anzai is associate editor of Japan Medical Design & Manufacturing Technology. She joined Canon Communications in 2010 and is based in the company’s Tokyo office, where she writes about Japan’s medtech industry. Miki formerly worked as a finance reporter at Bloomberg News after serving as a media and investor relations manager at Citibank. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Sacred Heart and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
